About
Gloucestershire Medical Aesthetics is owned and run by Kate Stewart from her clinic in Waterwells, Hardwicke – conveniently located just off the M5, Junction 12. We are proud to be Gloucester’s first CQC-registered medical aesthetics clinic, setting a benchmark for safety, professionalism and client care in the region.
Kate is registered with the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses, the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Royal College of Nursing and the ACE (Aesthetic Complications Expert) group and the CQC. With over 60 years of combined nursing experience within the team, your safety, wellbeing and results will always remain our top priority. Kate is fully insured with Hamilton Fraser, extensively trained in advanced aesthetic treatments and medical aesthetics, and also brings her experience in minor surgery from general practice into the clinic.
Kate began her aesthetics journey in Birmingham in 2018, originally specialising in facial rejuvenation with dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections. As her practice grew, so did her vision: she wanted to go beyond cosmetic treatments and use aesthetics to help clients manage conditions that can impact quality of life. Today, we also offer treatments for hyperhidrosis, hay fever, B12 replacement and migraines – alongside weight loss management clinics, on-the-day minor illness clinics, short-wave diathermy for the safe removal of unwanted moles, lesions and thread veins, and microsclerotherapy for leg veins.
At Gloucestershire Medical Aesthetics, we are different from most clinics because we run a truly medical approach to aesthetics. Our philosophy is holistic: we believe in treating the whole person, not just the appearance. Many of our treatments overlap to help with both cosmetic concerns and medical conditions, allowing us to tailor solutions that address multiple needs at once. Our multidisciplinary team means that each practitioner’s expertise complements the others, giving clients a unique level of integrated care.
Since 2023, the clinic has expanded significantly. Kate has welcomed two new registered nurses, a foot care specialist, a sports injury and rehabilitation therapist, and an SPMU artist offering brows, lash treatments and facial waxing. This allows us to provide a wider range of treatments and ensures every client receives the most effective, natural and satisfying results possible – all under one roof.
All products used in the clinic are sourced exclusively from registered, reputable pharmacies and suppliers. The qualifications of our nurses are publicly available on the NMC and British Association of Cosmetic Nurses websites, reflecting our commitment to transparency, safety and excellence.
"We are now delighted to become Gloucester city's first CQC aesthetics clinic" something we've worked very hard to achieve and we are incredibly proud of. This means treatments at aesthetics clinics—like medical-grade injectables, minor surgery, or procedures under sedation—require CQC registration. This ensures we meet the highest healthcare standards for safety, cleanliness, and patient care.
Why it matters:
-
Legal compliance
-
Patient safety & trust
-
High-quality clinical standards
Not all cosmetic treatments need CQC registration, but when they do, it shows our commitment to safe, professional care.
